Nancy O'Dell's career began in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as a news reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV. Then, she joined WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. The articles written by O'Dell in Charleston concerning how Charleston police dealt with DUI cases with care, resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter direction for state officials. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell the Best Report of the year Award for every aspect of South Carolina media. O'Dell's experience in Charleston led her to serve as co-anchor and investigative reporter and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before becoming a part of Access Hollywood she was a anchor on the weekdays and was also NBC's weekend co-anchor. Her current position as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes.
